The SR Series Infrared Thermometer is a self contained
spot pyrometer which does not require remote electronics.
Temperature signal processing and conditioning is done
within the sensing head of the unit.
The SR Series of
infrared thermometers
feature:
- Stand alone ratio (two-color) infrared thermometer
- Choice of nine models measuring temperatures
from 1300° to 6500°F (700° to 3500°C)
within discrete temperature ranges
- Choice of fast response time 0.01 seconds or
(0.1,1.0 or 10.0 seconds)
- Choice of optical resolution (D/50, D/100, D/150 Range Dependent)
- Choice of output signal (4-20mA or 10 volts)
- Focusable, thru-the-lens viewing
- No moving parts or filter wheels
- Both detectors read the target simultaneously
- Signal/Power supply termination box
- 2 foot
or 4 meter Inter-connecting cable
- No separate signal processing electronics required,
making this instrument cost effective
- E-slope adjustment on temperature sensor
- Invalid alarm indicator lamp and relay contact
closure
Covered by U.S. Patent Numbers 4,919,505 and
5,011,296.
SR SERIES SPECIFICATIONS
Temperature Measuring Range:

Within 0.75% of full scale temperature or 5°F
(3°C), whichever is greater
Repeatability
Within 0.3% of full scale temperature
Response Time
(To 95% of full scale output)
0.1, 0.01, 1.0, or 10.0 seconds, as selected
Analog Output
(Referenced to ground) 4-20 mAdc (500 ohm max.) or
0-10 Vdc (<=1 ohm source, 5 mA max.)
Spectral Response
Two adjacent wavelength bands: 0.70 to 1.08 microns
and narrow band centered at 1.08 microns
Ambient Temperature Range
(Without auxiliary cooling) 30 to 130°F (0 to
55°C)
Power Supply Requirements

95 to 240 Vac - Optional
Optical Resolution
D/50, D100, or D/150 per model selection
Invalid Alarm
LED visual indicator lamp on sensor backplate and relay
contact closure to alarm on excess signal reduction. Contact ratings
24 Vdc, 250 mA
Signal Reduction Range
Above 1500°F (800°C) will tolerate approximately
95% reduction in radiation intensity, due to low emissivity,
non-resolved target or obliterated target
