With the InfraRail, IRCON has successfully combined
a signal conditioner and two-wire transmitter in one
modular DIN-rail infrared thermometer. Now, you can integrate
temperature measurement with other relays and signal
conditioners already on your process line. The InfraRail
infrared thermometer can be wired directly into any existing 24
volt dc power supply or can be supplied by a power
supply ranging from 16 to 40 volts.
- Economical Miniature Sensing Head
- Convenient, standard DIN-rail mounting
- 4-20 mA two-wire signal conditioner/transmitter
- Typical uses: OEMs and user furnace, induction
heating, steel and glass applications
BASIC SYSTEM- Consists of one temperature sensor, electronic module,
12 feet (4 meters) of interconnecting cable and connectors,
and one detailed operations manual. Complete specifications
and descriptions are shown in Catalog DN-08.
This modular, signal conditioner/ transmitter combination
with analog output includes on-board signal processing
circuitry and controls that make it easy to correct
or adjust Emissivity and/or Response Time. In addition,
the Peak-Picker function allows for accurate temperature
measurement when measuring an intermittent target.
With three distinctly different types of sensors, the
InfraRail system can adapt to virtually any temperature
measurement challenge from 700 to 5000°F (375
to 3000°C). All temperature sensor heads have NEMA 4
(IP 66) rated housings. And because these sensors are powered
by internal photovoltaic cells, they require no special
power sources.
Choose the Type "E" miniature fixed focus lens temperature sensor
for economy and basic sensing requirements. With a
non-sighted focus at 30" (762mm), the Type "E" sensor
measures temperatures from 1400 to 5000°F (800
to 3000°C). This sensor is only 1.25" diameter by 4" length.
Choose the Type "S" thru-the-lens, single lens reflex
(SLR) focusable optics temperature sensor for more discriminating sensing
requirements where pinpoint focus and aiming are essential. These
sensors are available with InGaAs detectors for lower
temperature applications down to 700°F (375°C)
or silicon detectors for higher temperature applications
from 1000 to 5000°F (550 to 3000°C).
